Mandatory Eligibility Criteria
- Age – 18 years +
- Basics of Foods & Nutrition or an Equivalent
- Advanced Nutrition or an Equivalent
Optional Eligibility Criteria
- 10+2 with science (PCB)
Course Objectives and Outcomes
After completing this course on Therapeutic Nutrition
- The students will be able to understand the principles of Nutrition Care process.
- Students will develop an ability to modify the basic normal diet for therapeutic purposes.
- Students will understand the aetiology, pathophysiology, various metabolic changes, clinical features and nutritional management of the various common disorders / diseases.
- Students will learn the skills required to evaluate and plan therapeutic diets for various disorders / diseases.
Through practice during the sessions students will learn to apply the skills learnt for the planning of diets for various disorders / diseases.

Modus Operandi:
- Pdf/ppt. for all units will be provided at the start of the week.
- Online Interactive classes will be held twice every week.
- Assignment for all units will be given at the end of the week, to be submitted before the end of the subsequent week
- Students will be evaluated as per the assignments submitted, presentations and performance during online sessions
- Certificate will be awarded after successful completion of any of the 3 modules
- Diploma will be awarded after successful completion of the Combined Course on Advanced and Therapeutic Nutrition (all 3 modules)
