After completing this course on Therapeutic Nutrition

The students will be able to understand the principles of Nutrition Care process.
Students will develop an ability to modify the basic normal diet for therapeutic purposes.
Students will understand the aetiology, pathophysiology, various metabolic changes, clinical features and nutritional management of the various common disorders / diseases.
Students will learn the skills required to evaluate and plan therapeutic diets for various disorders / diseases.

Through practice during the sessions students will learn to apply the skills learnt for the planning of diets for various disorders / diseases.

UNIT III Planning of Therapeutic Diets	Aetiology, pathophysiology, metabolic changes, clinical features and nutritional management of the following G I Tract disorders Diarrhoea Constipation Lactose Intolerance Celiac disease Peptic ulcers Cholelithiasis Liver- Infective Hepatitis	Weeks – 6, 7 & 8
	Planning of diets for the following: Diarrhoea Cholelithiasis Lactose Intolerance	Week – 9
	Presentation and discussion	Week – 10

Pdf/ppt. for all units will be provided at the start of the week.
Online Interactive classes will be held twice every week.
Assignment for all units will be given at the end of the week, to be submitted before the end of the subsequent week
Students will be evaluated as per the assignments submitted, presentations and performance during online sessions
Certificate will be awarded after successful completion of any of the 3 modules
Diploma will be awarded after successful completion of the Combined Course on Advanced and Therapeutic Nutrition (all 3 modules)
