  • Advanced Nutrition or an Equivalent

Optional Eligibility Criteria

  • 10+2 with science (PCB)

Course Objectives and Outcomes

After completing this course on Therapeutic Nutrition

  • The students will be able to understand the principles of Nutrition Care process.
  • Students will develop an ability to modify the basic normal diet for therapeutic purposes.
  • Students will understand the aetiology, pathophysiology, various metabolic changes, clinical features and nutritional management of the various common disorders / diseases.
  • Students will learn the skills required to evaluate and plan therapeutic diets for various disorders / diseases.

Through practice during the sessions students will learn to apply the skills learnt for the planning of diets for various disorders / diseases.
